CEU Executive MBA is proud to partner with the European Forum Alpbach to sponsor a generous fellowship for distinguished managers with a proven record of supporting empowered and democratic Europe.
The European Forum Alpbach was established in 1945 as an interdisciplinary platform for leading scholars, thinkers, scientists, policymakers, business people and civil society actors from Europe and from all over the world to engage and contribute to its mission of shaping a stronger Europe. The mission of Central European University – an institution of advanced research and teaching committed to promoting the values of Open Society – in many ways overlaps with the goals of Forum Alpbach.
Democratic Europe today faces numerous challenges, some old and some new. To meet them, the European Project needs not only able governments but also the responsible and engaged business community.
The winner of the CEU Executive MBA – Forum Alpbach Fellowship for an Empowered and Democratic Europe will receive up to 50 percent reduction of the full CEU Executive MBA tuition of EUR 29.000. The fellowship will be awarded to a manager who, apart from achieving high levels of professional success in their area of functional specialty, can demonstrate a proven record of supporting a stronger and democratic Europe in their capacity as a professional, as a citizen or as a leader.
While managers from the governmental or nonprofit sectors can apply, the main objective of the Fellowship is to support business managers who actively support democratic Europe.
Applicant should have at least 8 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years of documented leadership/managerial experience, an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification and should apply for the August 2023 intake of the CEU Executive MBA program via the regular application form.
“The profound macroeconomic and business consequences of political upheavals such as Brexit underscore the stakes of executive, managers, and entrepreneurs in our common democratic European future,” points out Prof. Maciej Kisilowski, CEU Executive MBA Faculty Director. “I’m delighted that our joint Fellowship with the European Forum Alpbach will help us identify and recognize managers who positively contribute to our joint European future.”
Applications will be reviewed and considered on a rolling basis. The Selection Committee reserves the right to choose awardees.
Applications are currently open.
