Alumni Course Offering

Even after you graduate, your CEU Executive MBA adventure can continue. Each year in the summer, our alumni are invited to join more than 200 current executive fellows for a handpicked selection of executive-level courses.

Our alumni can enroll in any elective course offered to current CEU Executive MBA participants. The program offers an unprecedented selection of courses in strategy, leadership, marketing, finance, economics, innovation and entrepreneurship and business & society. The courses are taught by CEU full-time faculty, distinguished practitioners and visitors from leading business schools around the world.

Virtually all our electives are taught once every three years, increasing the attractiveness of repeated participation in our offering.

The program is open to any CEU Executive MBA alumni and their friends recommended by them. Registration for 2023 Summer Electives will be open in the spring of 2023.

CEU alumni from other programs can also participate if they have at least eight years of work experience and three years of leadership experience.

Competitive Fees

The alumni fee for participating in a 1.5 credit interactive course, involving 900 minutes of in-class time and at least twice as much of preparation and teamwork, is EUR 1,500, including all applicable taxes. The fee does not include the cost of commuting to and accommodation in Budapest but alumni can take advantage of our Partner Airlines as well as the offers of our Partner Hotels.

CEU Alumni will receive a Moodle (course management system) account and be assigned to an Executive MBA Support Team for the course.

To ensure the level of commitment needed to maintain the quality of our offering, a EUR 400 deposit will be requested from alumni taking the electives as part of the offering. The Course Commitment Fee is refundable, in the form of a discount code to be used for booking future electives on this site, for every participant who:

  1. Attends at least 80% of the class sessions (unless for a bona fide emergency);
  2. After being evaluated by the instructor based on the same criteria as the current Executive MBA students, receives a total course score equivalent to the grade of B+ or higher.

In 2022, alumni participating in the CEU Alumni Course Offering will benefit from an option to choose their mode of participation: on-site in Budapest or online. The mode of participation does not affect the registration price and can be chosen and updated freely until the start of the module.

In Participants' Words

“I am very happy to be back to CEU and to participate in the summer course offering, where alumni and current Executive MBA participants get to interact.”
