During your studies with us, you will work with a vibrantly diverse community of more than 300 executive fellows from all around the world.
Our current CEU Executive MBA participants come from 35 countries on five continents. They have an average of 16 years of professional experience and 10 years of leadership experience.
Many of our EMBAs come from leading blue chips, including Abbott, Adidas, Airbus, Bosch, British Telecom, Cargill, Citi, DELL, Deloitte, GE Healthcare, Henkel, IBM, Lufthansa, Morgan Stanley, NOKIA, Novartis, Raiffeisen Bank, Roche, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Tata, Viacom, Vodafone and Walt Disney.
The EMBA for the Open WorldⓇ is particularly popular among forward-looking knowledge-based and creative multinationals, which is logical given our academic rigor and our focus on innovative fact-based strategic thinking. Increasingly, joining CEU Executive MBA signals a forward-looking, open-minded stance of both our participants and their supporting employers.
A true managerial transformation towards a strategic level requires, however, going beyond a corporate comfort zone and confronting your ideas with those of accomplished professionals coming not only from different geographical locations, but also different organisational and sectoral cultures.
That is why, CEU Executive MBA puts enormous effort into attracting participants from non-corporate backgrounds, including government, civil society and entrepreneurship.
Our executive fellows bring change as leaders at Canada’s Ministry of Indigenous Relations & Reconciliation, Campaign Against Homophobia, Caritas, European Parliament, Ghana Health, Greenpeace, International Rescue Committee, the Rainbow Cities Network, UNDP and UNESCO. 15% are entrepreneurs in startups and SMEs.
Our community is not merely “tolerant” towards diverse backgrounds, identities and perspectives: we full-heartedly embrace diversity as one of the greatest sources of learning and personal growth.
CEU spares no effort to make our Executive MBA class as inclusive as possible. We sponsor a variety of generous merit-based fellowships for outstanding female managers and entrepreneurs; our most recent cohort has a 2-to-3 female to male ratio. We likewise support participants from the LGBTIQ* community, Romani community, BAME community as well as managers with disabilities.
Beyond the financial support, our participants recognize CEU for its welcoming, open-minded and laid-back environment. Our executive fellows are treated not as passive program consumers, but rather as co-producers of the collective learning experience. Each cohort is represented by elected Class Representatives (who work in teams of three to ensure their internal diversity) and establish their own Code of Best Practices.
“You have these incredible professionals in so many fields and industries. Very accomplished, but also refreshingly unpretentious and fun to be around. That’s my experience with the CEU alumni community.”
