Normally, there are two very distinct situations in which your decision to apply for CEU Executive MBA may be connected with a similar choice made by another person.

Situation 1: Workplace Colleagues

Many of our EMBA participants are sponsored by their employers. Sometimes, when the word comes out that a manager will pursue the CEU Executive MBA, a colleague also becomes interested in the program.

Given our uniquely competitive price-to-value ratio, the cost of two tuitions (58.000) is comparable to or lower than a single executive MBA tuition at many other, comparable institutions.

In addition, both managers can get their costs further reduced by applying for our widely available need-based or merit-based scholarships. Our EMBA alumni who have pursued this option also point out that having a fellow Executive MBA in your company is useful especially when dealing with projects and exercises between the program modules. It is worth emphasizing, however, that – because of our constant quest for diversity and for taking you outside of your comfort zone – you will never be assigned to the same Executive MBA Support Team with the colleague from your workplace.

Situation 2: Spouses or Partners

The second situation emerges at the intersection of professional and personal life. When two spouses, or same-sex or opposite-sex domestic partners, pursue their managerial or leadership careers, they may consider pursuing the CEU Executive MBA program jointly. Again, the tuition cost of our program, especially with scholarships factored in, makes the cost comparable to a single slot at a comparable institution. In addition, joint study allows couples to significantly economize on accommodation and textbooks.

Our Executive MBA alumni who have pursued this option also point out that the program becomes a significant common experience, making it even more transformational and unique.

It is worth emphasizing, however, that – because of our constant quest for diversity and for taking you outside of your comfort zone – you will never be assigned to the same Executive MBA Support Team with your partner or spouse.

EMBA 2gether

While the two above-mentioned situations are obviously very different from each other, both create a somewhat similar practical problem, respectively, for the participants’ employer’s or the EMBAs’ family budgets.

Our alumni indicate that the most important problem here is the cash flow issue of paying the double tuition instalments in bulk.

The EMBA 2gether program address this challenge in the following way:

1. Each participant applies for the program individually and can apply for scholarships. Already in the application form they should, however, cross-reference each other’s names to be eligible for the EMBA 2gether Program.
2. If both participants are admitted, a single combined tuition is calculated based on the amounts of scholarships (if any) each participant has received.
3. The joint tuition is then payable in four, not (per general rules) three instalments as follows:

• First Joint Instalment: 30% of the joint tuition is paid at the time of enrolling in the Program;
• Second Joint Instalment:  25% of the joint tuition is paid by March 31st, 2023;
• Third Joint Instalment: 25% of the joint tuition is paid by March 31st, 2024;
• Fourth Joint Instalment:  20% of the joint tuition is paid by January 31st, 2025 (i.e. half a year after the conclusion of the final program module).

Both participants must pursue the program in the same program cohort. Note that one of the participants must agree to defer the issuance of his or her MBA diploma until after the payment of the Fourth Joint Instalment. This is not a long deferment, as all diplomas are issues in the fall after the final Summer Module, after all the post-module projects and assignments are completed.
